lyrics
Follow my voice through the gateway
Beyond lies a realm yet unseen
(I'll) guide you in voyage and battle
Your dungeon master I'll be
Creatures dwell in the yonder
So cruel, you would never believe
It's time now to hold up your banners
And march towards the enemy
Don't be scared now
Raise your swords high
Use the magic of the twilight
Come forth, ye who seeks ancient wisdom
Your quest, it shall prosper through me
Sorcerers, wizards and warlocks
A terrible force we'll set free
No knight, no kingdom, no creature
Shall ever stand in our way
We'll harvest the beams of the moonlight
And fight at the break of day
Don't be scared now
Raise your swords high
Use the magic of the twilight
Don't be scared now
Raise your swords high
Use the magic of the twilight

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka

As others have said here, a definite staple in the NWOTHM movement. It has a raw sound that is reminiscent of the era while being a solid banger for a debut album. caffeinatedmetalhead
